Colony Hotel, 736 Ocean Drive, South Beach

About this spot

Parked in front of the Colony Hotel on Ocean Drive is the Cadillac that pays tribute to Scarface (1983): the 1963 Series 62 convertible, the same model Tony Montana, Al Pacino's character, drives in the film. It is one of the most popular photo spots in South Beach.

Now the car has joined the GTA 6 marketing. The white paint stays, but it gained two pink stripes running over the hood and trunk, the palm-tree VI logo on the doors and rear, the "Welcome to Vice City" signature on the trunk and a "GTA VI" license plate.

The choice is no accident. Scarface has been one of the biggest influences on the Vice City series since GTA Vice City in 2002, and Ocean Drive, with its art deco hotels and classic cars, is exactly the setting Rockstar recreated in GTA 6.
