In an official statement released on Monday, March 16, 2026, Rockstar Games announced the immediate suspension of sales of all its digital titles on its own store and the Rockstar Games Launcher for Brazilian users.
The decision is a direct response to the implementation of the Digital Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA Digital), which requires profound changes in how adult content and financial transactions are validated for minors in the country.

Unlike platforms such as Steam or the PlayStation Store, which already have robust wallet and verification systems, the Rockstar store has opted to suspend direct sales in Brazil to avoid legal conflicts with the new legislation.

Additionally, microtransactions for Shark Cards (GTA Online) and Gold Bars (Red Dead Online) remain available through the official store, as the restriction currently focuses on the direct sale of software classified as inappropriate for minors.

The suspension applies only to Rockstar’s direct channels. Brazilian players can still purchase the company’s titles through third-party stores that have already complied or have age verification systems integrated into their payment platforms. The official options in Brazil remain:
