With the release of GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) confirmed for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, one question hangs over PC gamers: when will it be our turn?

If we look at Rockstar Games’ track record, the answer may not be pleasant. The company’s “staggered release” strategy suggests that PC users may have to wait 12 to 18 months to get their hands on the game.

Rockstar’s release pattern

The developer has a long history of prioritizing consoles. With GTA 5, the gap between console and PC releases was a full 19 months. With Red Dead Redemption 2, however, the studio managed to reduce that window to about a year.

Similarly, following this optimistic 12-month timeline, the PC version of GTA 6 wouldn’t arrive until late 2027, possibly capitalizing on the December holiday season.

The FiveM Factor in GTA 6

O fator FiveM no GTA 6

Here comes the detail that Portal Viciados discovered exclusively. As we previously revealed through our colleague Rafael Vieira’s investigation at the INPI, Rockstar has already secured the FiveM trademark in Brazil until 2031.

This is a crucial point for PC players: the company knows that Roleplay (RP) is what keeps the game alive on PC for decades.

By officially registering the trademark now, Rockstar is signaling that, although the PC version will take time, it will arrive with a much more solid server infrastructure than any previous release, possibly already integrating official RP tools from day one on Windows.
