GTA 6 Grand Theft Auto VI fake leak 2026

Has GTA 6 been leaked again? A 39-second clip appears to be a new leak of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto VI.

You can check out more details on another fake leak in the video from our partner SanInPlay:

The video, which shows a beach house and next-gen graphics, fooled a lot of people due to its aesthetic similarity to the real GTA 6 leaks that occurred in September 2022.

However, upon closer inspection, we realize that this is yet another well-crafted trick designed to generate engagement.

Another fake GTA 6 gameplay?

Although it is not the primary source, the profile that made the video go viral on X (formerly Twitter) is the Zap Actu GTA6 account, the same one that Portal Viciados recently listed in a special report on profiles that spread misinformation.

In the past, this account made AI-generated clips go viral and, upon being exposed, justified the hoax to IGN as a “social experiment.”

Similarly, to avoid driving engagement to fake accounts, we posted the video on our X account. Check it out below:

Today, with X’s monetization system, verified accounts receive payments based on the volume of impressions. This creates a massive financial incentive for the production of high-quality fakes disguised as leaks.

Evidence in the video: Why is it fake?

Upon analyzing the video file, we found technical inconsistencies that distinguish the material from an actual Rockstar Games title running on the RAGE Engine.

The creator clearly tried to emulate the visual style of the 2022 leaks, but made some mistakes:

  • The debug bar: In authentic GTA 6 leaks, the black bar at the bottom displayed crucial graphics engine data and internal build numbers. In this video, the bar appears, but it contains far less information.
  • Limited camera: The scenery is beautiful, but it looks like a small diorama. The camera floats in a very restricted space around the blue house, avoiding showing the horizon, distant streets, or traffic behavior. This is typical of demos made in the Unreal Engine.
  • Generic system warnings: The alert in the top-left corner about "low video memory" and the green text reading "VRAM over by 1.2G" look like graphic elements pasted over the video during editing.
  • Static animations: The swaying palm leaves have looping movements reminiscent of standard assets from animation libraries.
  • Far Cry: Some fans have noted that this video was likely created using the Far Cry 5 Editor, employing editing techniques and post-processing to make it resemble GTA 6.

For Portal Viciados, this video is nothing more than a fake recreation. The author used a graphics engine to assemble a scene with the "vibe" of Vice City, added interface filters mimicking the original leaks, and posted it online to profit from views.
