The announcement was made by Priyanka Mourya, Senior Recruitment Specialist at Rockstar, via LinkedIn. The event’s sole focus is hiring Game Testers (QA testers) to join the team on-site and full-time.

Although the announcement doesn’t mention the name “GTA VI,” the timing is significant. With seven months to go until the scheduled release on November 19, 2026, hiring a new batch of testers indicates that development of the core content is complete.

Now, Rockstar Games’ focus is on the final polishing phase: bug hunting, performance testing, and system stability.
End of Delay Rumors
This move serves as a cold shower on recent rumors suggesting a possible delay to 2027. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick himself has reaffirmed that the schedule is being strictly adhered to.
The hiring of additional staff for the Quality Assurance (QA) department is the clearest sign that Rockstar Games is making the final adjustments to ensure the launch goes as smoothly as possible.
Additionally, the company recently confirmed that the official summer marketing campaign will begin soon, reinforcing that trailers and the first actual gameplay demos are indeed on the way.
