A Supercell has officially released the long-awaited June 2025 balance update for Brawl Starsand it promises to completely change the game's meta. The new version, which is now available, has brought significant nerfs for popular brawlerssuch as Kenji and Jackyas well as strategic buffs for characters like Mortis, Tick and Gene.
In addition, several changes to the Brawl Arena and gameplay adjustments from Brawl Stars make this one of the most robust updates in recent months.
Main nerfs from the Brawl Stars update
The negative highlight goes to Kenji, who had his ability Hypercharge weakened. Now, not only does it take longer to load, no longer takes down enemies. Other characters like Janet, Ash, Jacky, Clancy and Jae-yong also suffered significant reductions in their statistics:
- KenjiHypercharge charges more slowly (35% → 25%), has lost its knock-up effect and has had its pull weakened.
- LumiStar Power "Half-time" now only reduces for 1s instead of 2s.
- Janet: Damage bonus reduced from 9% to 4%.
- Ash and JackyHP and damage bonuses have been cut.
- Clancy: Lost passive synergy with robots.
- Jae-yong: HP and recharge speed reduced.
While some have lost power, others have finally gained the prominence they deserve.
Brawlers like Tick, Mortis, Gene, Gus, Stu and Fang have been improved:
- Tick: Faster recharge and increased damage.
- Mortis, Gene and Gus: They gained a significant increase in HP.
- Fang: Slightly improved statistics.
- Meeple and Stu: More HP and extra damage in the Brawl Arena.
Upgrading to Brawl Stars also brought important changes to the gameplay:
- Jungle robotsXP reduced from 120 to 110.
- Lane robots: XP increased from 35 to 40.
- Arena Base: Now deals more damage to Brawlers and grants XP when eliminating enemies.
- Arena Towers: They attack faster, but do less damage to lane robots.
- Mastery Points: They are now doubled in the Brawl Arena.
In short, some annoying bugs from Brawl Stars have also been corrected. The Jacky has been adjusted, the visual effects of the Kaze have been improved and the projectiles now pierce the scenery. In addition, the "level-up" sound has been softened.
